Nicholas Howard Barker is a Extreme metal drummer (from Hillsborough, Sheffield now lives in Northwich, England). After several years of collaboration with British metal band Cradle of Filth, he joined Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir. After being "removed" from the lineup,[1] Barker went on to play with Brujeria, Old Man's Child and Lock Up. His technique incorporates fast double bass drumming, extremely accurate blast beats, odd time signatured multi-tom fills and precise dynamic accuracy.

His influences include Neil Peart (Rush), Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel, Death, Strapping Young Lad), Clive Burr & Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), and Pete Sandoval (Morbid Angel).
