New Communist Party of Yugoslavia

The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ) is a Marxist-Leninist party in Serbia.

The NKPJ was formed in 1990. Its General Secretary is Branko Kitanovic, a writer and a translator. The Party has a youth section, the League of Yugoslav Communist Youth (SKOJ) formed in 1992. The NKPJ supports Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin and considers China, Vietnam, DPRK, Laos and Cuba socialist countries. The NKPJ is strongly against Titoism but is of the opinion that Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRJ) was a socialist country until 1990. The NKPJ's goal is the reunification of SFRJ.

The new name of that party in Montenegro after independence is New Communist Party of Montenegro(NKPCG). NKPJ and NKPCG are sister parties.[citation needed] In Macedonia and Bosnia and Hercegovina there are the New Communist Party of Macedonia (NCPM) and New Communist Party of Bosnia and Hercegovina (NKPBIH), which are sister organizations of NKPJ.[citation needed] Some Marxist-Leninists in Slovenia and Croatia are trying to organize a New Communist Party of Slovenia (NKPS) and a New Communist Party of Croatia (NKPH). The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia was boycott the last parliamentarian elections in Serbia(January 21 2006), because think the electoral law clearly smashes the fundamental democratic principles and the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.
