National Geographic Channel HD

National Geographic Channel HD in the USA is a high definition simulcast of the National Geographic Channel. It launched in January 2006 and thus far is only available through Cablevision's iO Digital Cable Service, Verizon's FiOS TV, Dish Network, and DirecTV.

In the UK, it is available on Sky Digital and launched in February 2006. The UK version is not a simulcast and has a separate schedule to the Standard Definition version of the National Geographic Channel. It is broadcast on EPG channel number 543.

In Asia Pacific, National Geographic Channel HD is first made available in Singapore as a full HD channel, supporting 1080i and 5.1-channel surround sound. The channel is commercially available on StarHub Digital Cable Channel 301 from 18 January 2007.
