Nanhui District (南汇区; pinyin: Nánhuì Qū) of Shanghai has a land area of 687.34 km² and a population of 694,900 as of 2001.

Nanhui District is now special in developing the Yangshan deep-water port and air port.Yangshan deep-water port is a new port in Shanghai.It can help Shanghai become the Top 1 harbour city in the world.With the development of Yangshan port and Pudong airport,Nanhui District is developing very fast.Recently the center of Nanhui district enlarge its area to catch up with the development of Shanghai.Huanglu Town has been incorporated in to center of Nanhui.

In Nanhui Distric,there are several famous companys in the world such as Shanghai Xiangzhi Paper Industrial Co.Ltd.It is the center of producing the molded pulp medical products in the world.Nanhui Huili Paper Carton Co.Ltd is also famous in China.

Nanhui Zhongxin Yiyuan is famous and strong in Shanghai.

Nanhui District started to build the College City ,including the Shanghai Dianli XueYuan,Shanghai Fisheries University ,Shanghai Top technique college and Shanghai GongShang WaiYu DaXue.
