Name of the Game is the first single to come off of Tweekend, The Crystal Method's second studio album. Due to massive popularity of the song, The Crystal Method rarely ever play it live. The track features guitars by Tom Morello, vocals by Ryan "Ryu" Maginn, and scratching by DJ Swamp.
To date, the song has been featured in numerous different forms of media, including:
- The 2002 film Resident Evil.
- The 2002 film Blade II.
- The 2003 video game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.
- Intro music used by The Amazing Johnathan for some live performances.
- Most recently in Hummer ads.
A music video was made, featuring the exploits of the character "Nosey", who is named so because his head is in fact just a big nose. The video also received moderate airplay, solidifying The Crystal Method's status as mainstream electronic artists.
