This family was introduced in Yon Ill Wind. They were brought into Xanth during hurricane Gladys.

Jim's son by his first wife. He is married to Willow Elf. He also appears in Faun & Games and Xone of Contention.
Mary's son by her first husband. He is the boyfriend of Jaylin. Because Demoness Fornax still maintains a connection to Jaylin, he has allowed Demon Earth to use him to watch Fornax and neutralize her if necessary. He also appears in Xone of Contention, Swell Foop, and Currant Events.
The daughter of both Jim and Mary. She also appears in Xone of Contention.
Sean's dog who also appears in Faun & Games.
David's cat who also appears in Xone of Contention.
Karen's bird.
He is the husband of Kim and father of Knut. A player of the Companions of Xanth game in Demons Don't Dream. He also appears in Roc and a Hard Place and Xone of Contention.
He is a friend of Dug and husband of Pia. He exchanged places with the Demon X(A/N)th in Xone of Contention. He first appeared in Demons Don't Dream.
A mundane archivist who comes to Xanth to do research with Arnold, the magician centaur. He is introduced in Centaur Aisle and makes appearances in Night Mare, Roc and a Hard Place, and Pet Peeve.
A girl from Hawaii who joins the search for the Rings of Xanth since Cynthia didn't secure a sixth member of her group in Swell Foop. She eventually became a conduit for the Demoness Fornax. She is now the girlfriend of David.
A mundane three headed dragon from Thailand who got lost in Xanth. He now travels with Noi, Mikhail, and Malinee. When last seen, he was travelling to Castle Maidragon. He was introduced in Currant Events.
She is the wife of Dug and mother of Knut. A player of the Companions of Xanth game in Demons Don't Dream where she wins the talent of erasure. She also appears in Roc and a Hard Place, Xone of Contention, and Cube Route.
He is the son of Dug and Kim. He was introduced in Cube Route.
A girl from Thailand who got lost in Xanth. She is now travelling with Noi, Mihail, and Kamcatka. She was introduced in Currant Events.
A woman from Thailand who got lost in Xanth. She found Mikhail, her dream man, with the help of Clio and Sherlock. She was introduced in Currant Events.
She is the ex-girlfriend of Dug and wife of Edsel. She exchanged places with Chlorine in Xone of Contention. She first appeared in Demons Don't Dream.
The fourth wife of Humfrey. See Sofia Mundane. She is introduced in Question Quest and makes appearances in The Color of Her Panties, Yon Ill Wind, Faun & Games, and Cube Route.
The various waves brought new human blood into Xanth from Mundania. Some of the Waves were peaceful while others were violent. They are mentioned throughout the series.
Sherlock, one of the immigrants from the Black Wave, has actually developed a magical talent of magician caliber since arriving in Xanth: the ability of reversal and the subsequent power to conjure and manipulate reverse wood. See his entry for more about him.
