Dr Mohammad Ali Mojtahedi Gilani (In Persian: محمد علی مجتهدی) was an Iranian University professor and life time principle of Iranian prestigious modern school Alborz. Founder of (Aryamehr technical University currently renamed to) Sharif University of Technology and dean of the Polytechnic University (currently renamed to Amirkabir). Memoirs of Mohammad-Ali Modjtahedi (Persian) 2000 was published as part of Harvard University Iranian Oral History Project, editor Habib Ladjevardi. ISBN 964-7359-10-1

He was born 1909 in Lahijan, Guilan in northern part of Iran, and went to France in 1932 and got his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering there.
