  • Bessie Higgenbottem - Voiced by Amy Poehler. The protagonist, she is a 10-year-old Honeybee scout, similar to a Girl Scout, that loves collecting badges. She lives near San Francisco and is a bit bossy. Bessie wishes to be a superhero.
  • Bessie's mom - Unmarried, she sings at the local bar.
  • Bessie's younger brother - Bessie loves dragging him around.
  • Bessie's friends - All are eccentric, like Bessie.
