Michigan's 14th congressional district

United States House of Representatives, Michigan District 14is a district in Wayne County, Michigan, encompassing the northwest side of Detroit, the suburbs located immediately west of the city, the downriver suburbs adjacent to the Detroit River and the enclaves of Highland Park and Hamtramck. It has been represented by John Conyers since 1965. Prior to 1993, it was known as Michigan's 1st district.

  1. ^ Louis C. Rabaut died November 12, 1961; Harold M. Ryan was elected by special election to fill the vacancy, assuming office on February 13, 1962.

  3. ^ John Conyers previously represented the 1st district before boudaries were redrawn.

District boundaries were redrawn in 1993, and 2003 due to reapportionment following the censuses of 1990 and 2000.
