Members of the National Assembly for Wales

The National Assembly for Wales is composed of 60 members known as AMs or assembly members (in Welsh: ACau or Aelodau'r Cynulliad). 40 are elected from winner-take-all constituencies on a single member plurality basis. 20 are elected in regions elected through a form of proportional representation known as the additional member system.
The First Minister of Wales and his Cabinet comprises the Welsh Assembly Government.
The last election was on May 1, 2003. A bye-election took place in Blaenau Gwent on June 29, 2006 following the death of Peter Law, MP and AM for the constiuency.

- 29 Labour
- 12 Plaid Cymru
- 11 Conservative
- 6 Liberal Democrat
- 1 Forward Wales (formerly John Marek Independent Party)
- 1 Independent
