McGhee Tyson Airport (IATA: TYSICAO: KTYS) is an airport located in Alcoa, Tennessee, approximately 12 miles (19 km) south of downtown Knoxville. The airport is named for Navy pilot McGhee Tyson, lost on patrol in World War I.

The airport also serves as a base for the 134th Air Refueling Wing, part of the Tennessee Air National Guard. The Wing operates KC-135 Stratotankers for aerial refueling of military aircraft. Adjacent to the Mcghee Tyson Air National Guard Base is the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment Army Aviation Support Facility which operates several OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopters.
