Max William R. Pirkis (born 6 January 1989) is an English film actor.

Pirkis was born in London, England to a stockbroker father and a publisher mother. He also has an older sister. He attends Eton College, and got his start acting in school plays, and was cast as the 13-year-old one-armed Midshipman Lord Blakeney in the successful 2003 film, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Most recently, Pirkis played Gaius Octavian (later to become Caesar Augustus) in the BBC/HBO television series Rome.

Pirkis coxes one of the rowing eights for Eton. He is in Peter Broads house and currently plays football for the 5th XI.
