MassMutual Financial Group is the fleet name for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) and its affiliates, with more than 13 million clients and over $455 billion in assets under management at year-end 2006.

Founded in 1851, MassMutual is a mutually owned financial protection, accumulation and income management company headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts. MassMutual provides life insurance, annuities, disability income insurance, long term care insurance, retirement planning products, income management and other products and services for individuals, business owners, and corporate and institutional markets.

On December 18th, 2006, Stuart H. Reese, Chief Executive Officer and President of MassMutual, was named Chairman of MassMutual's Board of Directors. Mr. Reese holds a B.A. from Gettysburg College and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
