Mark Willard

Mark Willard is a co-host on a nationally syndicated sports radio talk show heard on the Sporting News Radio network. He currently works together with Tony Bruno on the show.

Willard has also launched his television career as a sportscaster at GoTV, a mobile phone entertainment provider.

Willard was formerly teamed up with Roger Lodge on a local radio show in Los Angeles. At the same time, he served as the pre and post game show host for USC football.

Following successful radio ventures in San Francisco and San Diego, Mark hit the LA airwaves in 2001 as a reporter. After his impressive coverage of the 2002 NBA Finals and the 2002 World Series, he quickly moved into the daily lineup on The Ticket. In addition to his talk show work, Mark is an experienced and accomplished play-by-play announcer. He spent two years as a fan favorite calling minor league baseball games for the Angels' affiliate in Boise, Idaho. He also spent one year as the "voice of Cal Poly sports," which included work with the football, basketball and baseball teams.

He went to San Mateo High School with PGA Tour professional Arron Oberholser. The two remain good friends.

A Bay Area native, Mark has lived in California for his entire life. He has been in Southern California since 2001. He owns a broadcast journalism degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

He and his wife Jill recently gave birth to their first child, Abel in January of 2007.
