Mark Lewis Jones

Mark Lewis Jones is an actor, whose roles include that of a police inspector in BBC drama series, 55 Degrees North, a whaler in the movie, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World , and a soldier in Troy.

Notably on television, he has made appearances in This Life, Holby City, Spooks, Murphy's Law, Waking the Dead and Torchwood.

However, perhaps his most significant role on BBC television was as Detective Inspector Russel Bing on police drama, 55 Degrees North. In this role, he played an outspoken, opiniated, and at times humorous police officer, in a complex and intricately crafted series.

He also played Detective Sergeant Ray Lloyd in police drama, Murder Prevention.

His two most renowned appearances in Hollywood blockbusters were as Hogg the Whaler in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, and Tecton in Troy.

In 2001 he also portrayed Igraine's second husband Uther Pendragon in the American TV mini series The Mists of Avalon.

He played Irfon in S4C's Con Passionate and Josi in Calon Gaeth.

Mark Lewis Jones has appeared as police officers in a number of productions:
