MITR is an interbank network in India managed by FSSNet.[1] MITR is a Sanskrit word meaning friend.
Punjab National Bank is the settlement bank for this network.
The network has 6 member banks:
Indian Bank
IndusInd Bank
Karur Vysya Bank
Oriental Bank of Commerce
Punjab National Bank
UCO Bank
One of the founding members , i.e. UTI Bank left the network on 1st November 2005
Another founding member - Global Trust Bank (GTB) was bought out by Oriental Bank of Commerce
