Lucius Scribonius Libo

There were three Lucius Scribonius Libo in the Roman Republic, all member of the gens Scribonia:
- Lucius Scribonius Libo was apart of a senatorial family. Lucius had married Cornelia, granddaughter of Pompey and Lucius Cornelius Sulla. Their children were Scribonia (second wife to Augustus) and a son of the same name;
- Lucius Scribonius Libo, son of the above. He was the uncle of Cornelius Scipio, Cornelia Scipio and Julia the Elder. This Lucius became consul of 34 BC. He died during the consulship. His wife was a relative to the Emperor Galba. Their children were Lucius Scribonius Libo and Marcus Scribonius Libo .
- Lucius Scribonius Libo, son of the above. Lucius was consul of 16. This nobleman had planned to revolt against the Roman Emperor Tiberius. Tiberius had tried him in a Senatorial Court. Lucius had pleaded to the emperor, for Drusus' support, but rejected this. Lucius and Tiberius took part in a sacrifice among the priests. During the ceremony, the emperor had asked Lucius for assistance, when the ceremony was over, Tiberius stabbed him with a knife. This occurred after the trial.
