Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS) is a branch of the Louisiana State University System in Shreveport, Louisiana. Opened in 1967 as a two-year institution, LSUS is located in southeast Shreveport on a campus housing more than 4,200 students.

LSUS grants undergraduate and graduate degrees at the masters and specialist degree levels. It is the only public four year university in the Shreveport metro area. The school includes the Colleges of Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Education and Human Development.

The school is a commuter school with no on-campus dorms. The university does, however, have its own housing in the form of apartments, located at the northwestern edge of the campus.

After nine years as a two-year institution, LSUS was advanced to four-year status in 1976 through the efforts of state Senator Don W. Williamson of Shreveport and state Representative Joe Henry Cooper of Mansfield, the seat of De Soto Parish.
