The following is a list of minor characters on South Park. This does not include the school children, family members, townsfolk or the school staff..

Contents

Thomas and Nellie McElroy are the parents of Chef. They first appear in the episode "The Succubus", when they come to South Park for Chef's wedding. They appear later in the episode "The Biggest Douche in the Universe" when Chef takes Cartman and his mother to his parents' manor house in Scotland. They perform a shaman-esque ritual to exorcize Kenny's soul from Cartman's body. In "Red Sleigh Down", they are seen in a crowd during the town's Christmas celebration. Their most recent appearance was at Chef's funeral in "The Return of Chef".

The McElroys' main subject of conversation is their supposed encounters with the Loch Ness Monster. They repeatedly claim that they have seen him on multiple occasions, and are constantly harassed by him, as he tries to swindle them out of "tree-fiddy" ($3.50). According to Thomas, the monster has pretended to be a girl scout, an alien, and Chef's imaginary friend from childhood.

Darryl Weathers is a worker from the Construction Workers' Union. He has a flock of red hair and a big red mustache. His first appearance is in "Goobacks" where he is hosting a rally of many working-class men being mad at losing their jobs to the Goobacks who volunteer to work for next to nothing. He tries to help them find a way to get rid of the Goobacks when it eventually comes to all the men having sex with each other. He approves the idea and mandates that every man does it.

The next appearance is a one liner in "Smug Alert!" where he appears in the background mad at someone (who we know is Kyle's dad) putting a fake ticket on his car.

Skuzzlebutt is a basket-weaving monster who lives on top of a mountain in South Park. He has a piece of celery as an arm and Patrick Duffy as a leg. He appears in two episodes: "Volcano" and "City on the Edge of Forever". In "Volcano" Cartman tells the story of Skuzzlebutt to scare his friends. Then Cartman dresses up like Skuzzlebutt. However, when a volcano erupts the real Skuzzlebutt makes a basket that saves the children. Shortly after, Stan kills Skuzzlebutt to prove to his uncle Jimbo that he is a good nephew.

Farmer Carl Denkins is redneck farmer, who lives just outside of South Park. He originally appeared in the pilot episode of the series, reporting to Officer Barbrady that his cattle were being mutilated. When the pilot was recut into the episode "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe", he remained in the episode. One of his chickens was sexually molested by the "Chickenlover" in an episode of the same name. He shoots and kills Scott Tenorman's parents for trespassing on his property in "Scott Tenorman Must Die", and played a prominent role in the episode "Fun with Veal" (although he was referred to as Rancher Bob in this appearance). During the run of the series, his chicken fell prey to Chickenlover, his cows have been mutilated and turned inside-out by aliens (and have later performed a mass suicide), and his pony was taught to bite off Scott Tenorman's weiner (despite many unsuccessful attempts and much effort).

Fluffy is Eric Cartman's potbellied pig. She makes only two notable appearances. In the first season episode "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig", she is a hapless element of the children's school genetics project, and in the fourth season "Cherokee Hair Tampons", she is startled awake by boys who are sneaking into the Cartmans' house and begins squealing, but is subsequently yelled back into silence by a semi-awake Cartman (who never notices the other boys).

God is portrayed on South Park as a Bunyip from Australian aboriginal mythology; he is a hybrid of a cat, a monkey, and hippopotamus, with a reptilian tongue he uses to catch bugs. His first appearance was in "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus". He can be summoned in Heaven when his name is spoken, and sometimes on Earth, where he appears as beams of light with a deep voice. God is a Buddhist, although only people of the Mormon faith are allowed in Heaven. As the population of Heaven began to dwindle, prior to the fact the population of Hell rises up endlessly, as told in "Best Friends Forever", God started to allow others into Heaven. This was an attempt to build up Heaven's army to protect God's Kingdom from the increasingly larger Army of Satan. It is said that the PlayStation Portable was created by God to help find out which human would be the best leader of his army. Kenny, being the best, was killed by God to get Kenny to lead his army with the Golden PSP. Kenny, after being revived & killed over the course of an episode debate, saves Heaven and is honored with a statue of Keanu Reeves. Every 2000 years, he comes to Earth to answer one question. He is included as a figure with the South Park series 3 Jesus action figure by Mezco. His voice is provided by Trey Parker.

Halfy (pronounced Half-ee) is an amputee (he has no legs, hence his nickname), who first appeared in the episode "Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut". In his early appearances, he would claim that he would have sex with various things/people, only to be told, "You don't count Halfy; you don't have any legs", to which he would reply, "Oh. Yeah." When he is happy, he jumps into the air and somersaults. Halfy was spotted at the starting line of the South Park "Running of the Cows" in the episode "Cow Days." He is also sung to by Big Gay Al during his big musical number in the movie. Further he does appear in the episode "I'm a Little Bit Country", singing, "I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock and roll..".

Midget wearing bikini (also known as "Midget in a bikini", etc) is a news reporter for the local South Park television station. He has appeared in ""Pink Eye"" and South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. He is literally a midget wearing a pink bikini.

Moses appears as the villain from the movie Tron - the MCP (Master Control Program). The Jewish people make macaroni pictures, popcorn necklaces, and soap carvings for Moses at the Jewish scout camp in the episode "Jewbilee". Moses is called out of the fire by an elder and given these tokens. The antagonist Garth puts him in a conch shell before calling upon Haman. Kenny McCormick, who had been banished by Moses for not being Jewish, saves the camp by breaking the conch shell open with his head. Moses also appears in the episode "Super Best Friends" where he shows the ability to play a tape by having it inserted through a port in his front.

Mr. Kitty (or simply Kitty), voiced by comedian Jay Leno in "Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut" and by Trey Parker in all other appearances, is a cat owned by Eric Cartman and his mother. Her first appearance was in "Cartman gets an Anal Probe" where she wanted a bite of Cartman's chocolate chicken pot pie. Cartman often refers to the cat as Mr. Kitty despite the fact that the cat is female. Kitty has gray, shorthaired fur. Kitty usually tries to get Cartman's food, to which Cartman abuses and yells at her. In the episode "Spookyfish", a good Cartman from a parallel universe arrived and was friendly to Kitty. This caused the regular Cartman soon to become cross with them and scare Kitty off. Kitty's most prominent role was in the season three episode "Cat Orgy".

Since "Cat Orgy", Mr. Kitty has been seen infrequently, though she was mentioned in "The Death of Eric Cartman" as being part of the list of people Cartman needed to apologize to in order to reach Heaven when he believed he was dead.

As of season eleven we can assume Kitty is alive and well, since in "Cartman Sucks" Cartman used cat feces to make a mustache for Butters.

Santa (voiced by Trey Parker) is, quite simply, South Park's version of Santa Claus. He lives at the North Pole in his Fortress of Solitude, aided two months out of the year by the Underpants Gnomes.

Santa is often shown with South Park's other Christmas-related characters, Mr. Hankey and Jesus. His relationship with the latter has been rocky. In the animated short that started South Park, called "The Spirit of Christmas", Jesus and Santa had a fight to determine what the true meaning of Christmas was - giving or Jesus' birth. With some advice from Brian Boitano, the boys told Jesus that Santa keeps the spirit of Christmas alive, and then told Santa that if it wasn't for Jesus there would be no Christmas at all. The two reconciled, though they would later fight again in "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics", when Santa felt gypped that there are more Jesus-related Christmas songs than ones about him. Nevertheless they made up again, and Jesus later lost his life to save Santa from Iraqis in "Red Sleigh Down."

Santa is known for not being afraid to get violent to protect the true meaning of Christmas. In "Red Sleigh Down" he was captured by Iraqis and had to shoot his way free, in "Woodland Critter Christmas" his skill with a shotgun and sledgehammer saved Christmas from the Anti-Christ, and in "Imaginationland Episode III" he was seen sporting a golden axe to fight off the army of evil imginary creatures.

Another character trait of Santa is his tendency to speak in the third person, most likely to make him seem more humble.

He can also be seen in "Imaginationland" dying from the flames from the terrorist attack, though Butters imagines him back to life in "Imaginationland Episode III". Due to the fact that he is appearing in Imaginationland it is contradictory to other episodes where he has not been imaginary.

Scott's first appearance was in "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus", where he was shown to be the nemesis of Terrance and Phillip. He has also appeared in the "real world" of South Park in "It's Christmas in Canada". Scott lives in Canada and is known by most Canadians as being obnoxious, as evidenced by his nickname "Scott the Dick". He is uptight and short-tempered, especially with Terrance and Phillip's toilet humour. Scott also expresses contempt for Americans throughout "It's Christmas in Canada", calling them "power-hungry" and claiming that Americans think they own the world.

Scott has been made Saddam Hussein's advisor twice, first in "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus" and then to the new Prime Minister of Canada (who turned out to be Saddam Hussein in disguise) in "It's Christmas in Canada".

Ugly Bob is a friend of Terrance and Phillip. Terrance and Phillip constantly make fun of him because he is so ugly (dispite the fact he looks almost identical to them). In "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus" they convince Ugly Bob to wear a paper bag over his head so he wouldn't be so ugly. Ugly Bob starts going on dates and finally ends up with Celine Dion, who thinks his name is Handsome Bob.

Sparky is Stan's dog. He first appeared in "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride" where it was revealed that he is gay. Stan was very upset that Sparky was gay and voiced this, provoking Sparky to run away to "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Animal Santuary", where he would live with other gay animals. He, along with all of the other animals, returned to their owners after the people of South Park become more accepting of their sexuality. George Clooney was his voice in this episode (despite only saying "woof" in various ways).

He has been seen in "Proper Condom Use", in which Stan red rocketed him and "Good Times With Weapons" when his fur was used to disguise Butters as a dog. Sparky also makes a cameo in "Woodland Critter Christmas" and is included as a figure with the South Park series 2 Stan action figure by Mezco.

Skyler is a member of the band "Lords of the Underworld" (briefly "Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld") and has been seen on two occasions.

In his first appearance, "Cat Orgy", Skyler is seen as Shelley Marsh's boyfriend who she invites around while babysitting Eric Cartman. He invited his band along. Skyler only wanted Shelley for sex, and because of a huge age difference Shelley was reluctant (Shelley is 12 and he is 22). After she refused to have sex he dumped her. Cartman helped her get revenge by trashing his guitar. When he angrily returned to Cartman's house while Shelley was still there, Cartman threw catnip at him, attracting Cartman's cat Mr. Kitty and other neighborhood felines, who promptly attacked him in a sex frenzy.

Skyler was not seen again until "Timmy 2000", in which his band needed "something" to help them win battle of the bands. They then found Timmy, who turned out to be a great singer despite only being able to shout his name. Jealous of Timmy's popularity (thanks to a discussion started by Phil Collins), Skyler left the band to pursue a solo career entitled "Reach for the Skyler". He later rejoined the band though, and they performed at the South Park Battle of the Bands.

Skyler and his band also appear in "Christian Rock Hard" as one of the bands who are refusing to play due to the illegal downloading of music.

Starvin' Marvin (voiced by Trey Parker) is a very thin Ethiopian boy who first appeared in season one's Thanksgiving special, "Starvin' Marvin". He cannot speak English, although he later learns to say his name and a few phrases, but the boys find his clicking ability interesting. (Incidentally, Marvin and his village speak a clicking language with features typical of Khoisan languages, which are in southern Africa and nowhere near Ethiopia.) Starvin' Marvin was once in the custody of the four boys, but Mr. Garrison reported them for it and had him sent back to Ethiopia, along with many dead rabid turkeys. He later appeared in "Starvin' Marvin in Space", in which he relocated his fellow Ethiopians to the planet Marklar.

Tom Pusslicker the News Anchor (voiced by Trey Parker) has appeared in various episodes, reporting on current events. Other news anchors are also referred to as Tom by the reporters. He often introduces field news anchors by describing their race, gender, age, what they are wearing, their size, and, sometimes, whether they look like someone famous (in a non-specific combination). This is used rather than their name, and the description also seen beneath the anchor's head on the screen. Examples include: a midget in a bikini, a Hispanic man with some gravy stains on his lapel, a 34-year old Asian man who looks strikingly similar to Ricardo Montalbán, a quadriplegic Swiss man tied to a pony, and a normal looking guy with a funny name (Creamy Goodness). In the episode "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow" his last name is revealed to be Pusslicker.

In the German version he was dubbed by comedian Wigald Boning in earlier seasons.

A very minor character only recognizable by his unusual haircut. He appears briefly in the episode "Spontaneous Combustion" when Kenny explodes at the start of the episode. His name is revealed in "Chef Goes Nanners" when Jimbo Kern is describing why the South Park flag shouldn't be changed. He and Ned take shots at various local wildlife, culminating in shooting at Chris Peterson.

A group of Satan worshiping woodland animals created by Cartman in a Christmas story for a class assignment. Though they appear friendly, they can and will become scarily evil and have access to "evil Satanic powers". They originally appeared in "A Woodland Critter Christmas" where they attempted to give birth to the Anti-Christ so that Satan can rule the world, but are ultimately killed by Santa Claus when he shoots them with a rifle. However, this story in itself is fictional so said events never actually happened.

There are 12 woodland critters: Squirrely the Squirrel, Rabbity the Rabbit, Beavery the Beaver, Beary the Bear, Porcupiney the Porcupine, Skunky the Skunk, Foxy the Fox, Deery the Deer, Woodpeckery the Woodpecker, Mousey the Mouse, Raccoony the Raccoon, and Chickadee-y the Chickadee.

Recently they have been revived for the season eleven story arc "Imaginationland". Because they were made up by Cartman they actually exist in the evil realm of Imaginationland, and were freed when terrorists destroyed the barrier. Here they are possibly the most evil, disturbing, and cruel beings ever made up, and suggest torturing other characters in ways so sadistic and disgusting (such as having a person with AIDS peeing into the gouged-out eye socket of Strawberry Shortcake) that the other evil characters fear them. Jason Voorhees even went as far as to say, "Man, I do not want to meet the kid that dreamt those things up." Stan recognizes them from Cartman's story, and knows clearly that they are a force that must not be underestimated. During the episode, they attacked a force of American soldiers (led by Kurt Russell) that crossed into Imaginationland, and raped the group to death.
