List of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the United Kingdom
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The List of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the United Kingdom is a list of sites designated by the UNESCO as World Heritage Sites in the United Kingdom.
The UNESCO list contains seventeen designated properties in England (one joint with Germany), four in Scotland, two in Wales, one in Northern Ireland and three in British overseas territories. Some designated properties contain multiple sites that share a common geographical location or cultural heritage. Twenty-two properties are designated as cultural, one as mixed and four as natural sites.
The listed properties are designated cultural sites unless noted, and are ordered by date of inscription. All years of first and subsequent designations are given.
