In Prince Edward Island, the Sovereign is represented by the Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. Canada is a constitutional monarchy, though due to Canada's federal nature, eleven legally distinct Crowns exist in Canada. The Monarch is represented distinctly in each province, as well as at the federal level. The current Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island is Barbara Oliver Hagerman.
This is a list of viceroys for Prince Edward Island (which was known as St. John's Island until 1799). The colony had governors until Confederation in 1873 when it became a province of Canada, after which it had lieutenant governors.
