The following is a list of the Governors of the State of Iowa and Iowa Territory.
- Prior to becoming a territory, Iowa was part of Missouri Territory until 1821, unorganized until 1834, part of Michigan Territory until 1836, and part of Wisconsin Territory until 1838. For the governors of these periods, see the lists of governors for Missouri, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
