LIPS (Linguistic and Intercultural Preparation of Students for the workplace) is a European Commission-funded project. It aims to develop pilot measures to improve students' skills and competences for their successful completion of work experiences abroad (for example in an internship).
LIPS will develop an online course which is based on key communicative situations; e.g. the first face-to-face meeting with the employer. In the course, Web 2.0 tools like podcasts and blogs will be used. To create more awareness and for a better visualisation three interactive video modules will be produced.
It will last for 24 months, from October 2005 to September 2007.
