Lara-Su is a fictional character from the Sonic the Hedgehog comic bookseries published by Archie Comics. She is the daughter of main characters Knuckles the Echidna and Julie-Su from two different alternate futures that travels back in time to the time the comics are set. Lara-Su is named after her grandmother Lara-Le; the two letter suffix of Su comes from her mother.

As evidenced by her parentage, Lara-Su is a female, teenage, anthropomorphic, humanoid Echidna. She has red fur, purple/violet eyes, and pink hair atop her red dreadlocks. As a descendant of the Brotherhood of Guardians, she bears the white crescent birthmark of the House of Edmund on her chest.

In her first appearance, Lara-Su wore a red shirt matching the color of her fur. She also had a black vest lined with blue, with black-cuffed blue gloves and blue-toed black boots. Both versions of Lara wear glasses; the original wore sunglasses, and the other wore standard corrective lenses. In Mobius: 25 Years Later Lara-Su wore a vest identical to that of her counterpart, but wore a black shirt. Her gloves are the standard white favored by many Mobians, and she wore black shoes.

Lara-Su first appears from a future in which she believes her father to be dead, and comes back to the present day Mobius Prime trying to save him. Operating under the alias Jani-Ca, she attempted to save her father from dying, but thought that she failed, not knowing that Knuckles was faking. She also saved her mother's younger self from a sniper. When she returned home, Julie-Su (of the alternate future) told her the truth about her father: he had absorbed a ton of Chaos Energy, gone insane, and was now leader of the Dark Legion. The two then set out, presumably to join whatever resistance might have been assembled against Knuckles, but the end result of that future was never seen.

A different version of Lara-Su appeared in Mobius: 25 Years Later, a story set in another alternate future. This Lara-Su had grown up with the benefit of both parents, but had a heated disagreement with her father and doesn't get along with Rutan, her cousin. She was also close friends with Sonia and Manik-who had a crush on her that she was embarrassed to learn of since she thought he was too young for her-the possible future children of King Sonic and Queen Sally Acorn. Lara wanted to become a Guardian, but Knuckles didn't want her to suffer through the life he had lived.

However, after her unveiling, a ceremony in which young Echidna girls are introduced to mature society, Knuckles relented, having realized his error after a visit to his father's grave. Lara's newfound joy was short-lived, as she stowed away aboard a transport taking her father to a device that would theoretically allow him and Sonic to fix time. Unfortunately, the device malfunctioned, Sonic disappeared, and Lara-Su dissipated into thin air, both of them apparently caught up in the effect of the Tachyon Displacement Chamber. It is unknown what she and Sonic may have done in the past, but it clearly had the desired effect of changing the timeline to prevent Mobius' destruction-with the negative result of making the planet almost unrecognizable.

Lara later returned in an alternate version of the Mobius: 25 Years Later future, and was among the only characters to remember the unaltered future-since she was close enough to the event horizon of the device-which caused her great sadness given that several of her friends had ceased to exist. Along with King Sonic and Miles "Tails" Prower, she was imprisoned on the orders of the new king, Shadow the Hedgehog, and his enforcer, none other than Lara's own father Knuckles. This turned out to be a trick, as Knuckles also retained his memories of the original future and wanted to overthrow Shadow. Freed, Lara escorted Rotor the Walrus to safety before joining her father and friends in battle. It was she Lara who defeated Shadow in the final confrontation, proving herself a worthy Guardian to her father.

Devoted to her mother and father, Lara cares deeply for both Knuckles and Julie-Su. Despite this, she often clashes with them, since they try to shelter her from the hardships they went through at her age. For all that, she respects their wishes-though she'll complain to no end to get what she wants. Truly her father's daughter, she has a ready wit and a fierce temper.

Lara-Su has never displayed any romantic interests towards any characters she has interacted with. However, she is known to be the object of a crush originating from Manik the Hedgehog, a crush in which Lara-Su did not reciprocate, and Vector the Crocodile's son Argyle has also displayed some interest in her.

Lara-Su is equipped with all her father's powers, and possesses her own ability to retract her fist spurs. In addition, she commands the power of Chaos Control, which she actually used to defeat Shadow by imprisoning him in energy. Having been trained by her father, Lara is also a skilled martial artist with the ability to hold her own against more experienced opponents (such as Shadow.)
