Knology

Knology Inc. is a cable company that was formed in 1994 by ITC Holding Company, Inc, a telecommunications holding company in West Point, Georgia that also founded Internet service provider Mindspring. In late 1994, shortly after Knology's inception, two employees made a $600,000 investment to make Knology what it is today. Knology was early to market with fiber optic technology. In 1999, Knology merged with Valley Telephone Company. The Knology network serves around a dozen cities in the Southern United States.
Knology also briefly owned the cable franchise in Cerritos, California, but it has since been sold to Wave Broadband.
