Kilometer 31 (Kilómetro 31 or Km 31) is a 2007 mexican horror film, written and directed by Rigoberto Castañeda. The film is inspired by the Crying Woman legend (la Llorona) and legends about highways ghosts (very popular in México).

The film is about Catalina and Ágata, twin sisters that are telepathically connected. One night, Ágata encounter a strange kid in the highway (kilometer 31) and suffer a car accident. While she is in coma, her sister Catalina, Nuño (Catalina’s friend) and Omar (Ágatas’s fiancé) try to uncover the mystery about what really happend in the accident site and about the strange events that were triggered since then.

The film was released in February 2th and was in the top in the mexican box office that weekend. [1] [2]
