Karl Hans Welz, born in Telfs in Tirol in 1944, a small town near Innsbruck, Austria, is an Austrian occultist, Armanist, practitioner of the Armanen runes and the the inventor of the Chi Generator, Orgonite and Orgone Radionics.

He translated Hoch-Zeit der Menschheit by Rudolf John Gorsleben, the classic of Rune Magic and folk related ideas that was first published in 1930. Many called it "The Bible of Armanism"

He is a follower of Guido von List.

At age 16 he became interested in the subject of hypnosis and later perfected Autogenic Training and at age 18, he began the practice of Hatha Yoga.

Welz had severe physical issue and after Hatha Yoga [1] fixed this he began to explore other sciences that were not part of his academic curriculum.

At age 19 he began to study and practice astrology, the practice of various forms of life energy technology such as astral traveling and clair voyance.

He studied the works of Mesmer, Korschelt, von Reichenbach, Tesla, Lahkowski, and others.

At age 19 Karl began his graduate studies in mathematics and physics. Several times he interrupted his academic studies to travel extensively where it is said that In the course of these travels he gained valuable information about the use of life force in many cultures and traditions and he came in contact with many gifted teachers and adepts on the subject matter. He has travelled to South Africa, Switzerland, West Berlin and the USA where he continued his studies which he then rounded off with general semantics, radionics, Reichian psychology, and orgone physics.

He started his studies of Rune magic 1972 at age 28 while in Berlin, Germany.

In 1974 he travelled and settled in the United States of America.

In the US he built his first orgone accumulators and conducted multiple experiments with these devices. These devices are also known as law of attraction devices[2]

In the USA where he now resides, he formed the Knights of Runes, although, now headed by Dietrich (Larry E. Camp) in Ohio of whom is also the head of Europa Ltd and the head of Armanen.

In the USA in 1984 Welz met his wife, Bettie Welz (born 1944), an Afro-American whom helped develope the Knights of Runes and develope the business side of selling his inventions.
