From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Juice Newton and Silver Spur was a country-rock band in the mid 1970s. The band was made of frontwoman Juice Newton, Otha Young and Robert Keeley. The group released three albums: "Juice Newton and Silver Spur" (RCA, 1975); "After The Dust Settles" (RCA, 1976); and "Come To Me" (Capitol, 1977) before disbanding in 1978. The group had only one charted single, the country song "Love Is A Word" from their debut.
Juice Newton would go on to be a major pop-coutry musician, scoring 20 Top-40 records between 1979 and 1989. To date, she has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide and still works closely with Otha Young.
