John Delaney is the current Chief Executive of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI)

Delaney became acting chief executive of the FAI in December 2004 and took up the role full-time in March 2005.[1] In November 2006 his contract was extended to 2012.[1] Delaney was one of the three men responsible for appointing of Steve Staunton as a replacement to Brian Kerr as manager of the Republic of Ireland national team. Along with Staunton, he hired Bobby Robson as Staunton's International consultant as part of what Mr Delaney called a "world class management team".
