Joel David Moore (born September 25, 1977) is an American actor who has appeared in television commercials, feature films, and television series.

Moore was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He went to Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and performed for two summers at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. In 2000, he moved to Los Angeles and reunited with his agent from Portland, Rachelle Ryan, who is now a manager in Los Angeles.
Starting his career in commercials, he has been in over 15 nationals (including eBay, Cingular Wireless, and Best Buy). Moore shot an international campaign for a branch of Siemens cell phones, XELIBRI, which won a Lion Award. Moore's most-recognizable role may be in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.
Moore has appeared in nearly a dozen television shows, including: LAX, CSI, The Guardian, Strong Medicine, Six Feet Under, Angel, Providence, Boomtown, Boston Public, and House. Moore's first film for release in 2008 is a starring role in the romantic comedy The Hottie and the Nottie, followed by a lead role in James Cameron's Avatar (2009), opposite Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington.
