    Jeremy Accardo (born on December 8, 1981 in Phoenix, Arizona) is a pitcher in Major League Baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays of the American League. He was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the San Francisco Giants of the National League in 2003 after attending Illinois State University.

    Accardo made his Major League debut on May 4, 2005 by pitching one perfect inning in relief during a San Francisco Giants road game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He finished the 2005 season with a 1-5 record while throwing 29 2/3 innings in 28 games. When Giants closer Armando Benitez suffered an ankle injury in 2006, Accardo became the team's interim closer. Benitez's return, however, put Accardo back to a role as middle reliever.

    On July 21, 2006, the Giants traded Accardo to the Blue Jays for 3rd baseman Shea Hillenbrand and relief pitcher Vinnie Chulk.
