James Blundell (born December 8, 1964) is an Australian country music singer. Blundell's first album, in 1989, was a self-titled effort, followed up by "Hand It Down", which was released in the United States in 1990 following its success in Australia. Successive albums were This Road and Touch of Water. This Road included the hit "Way Out West", with James Reyne. Blundell's first works reflected his background as a jackaroo and his love of that life.

Blundell has been married twice and has two sons from his second marriage. In recent years, Blundell garnered some media attention for his song "Postcards From Saigon" and speaking out against the war in Iraq. He also created controversy in Australia on 26 August 2007, when his manager announced that he was leaving his second wife, to whom he was married for nine years, for "an Australian Idol competitor twenty years his junior." Blundell met Jesse Curran, who was born in 1983, at one of his concerts.

On his MySpace page, Blundell says: "I heard Jesse singing at the Broken Hill races and she just floored me. You can find great talent in the most unexpected spots." [1]

James Blundell features on a number of compilations that are now available. EMI Music's Songs For My Ute (Volume 4) and ABC Music's Outback Tracks both feature the crossover hit "Way Out West". "Fight Naked" features on Dirt Road's Australian Country Music Series Volume 1. Rajon's Country Love Songs features "Rain On A Tin Roof" along with a track which was co-written by James; Lee Kernaghan's "Goondiwindi Moon".

His works have been released on both The Spirit of Christmas 1993 and The Spirit of Christmas 1994. Songs have also been included in Not So Dusty, The Andrew Denton Breakfast Show - Musical Challenge
