Jack Francis Wagner (December 17, 1925 - June 16, 1995) was the official park announcer for Disneyland until 1993. He is famous for the various announcements over the park PA, for parades, special events, etc. He also did a lot of voice work for the attractions themselves, including instructions, emergency precautions, and safety spiels. One of his most famous lines is from a safety spiel at the Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction: "Remain seated please; permanecer sentados por favor." Because of the prevalence of his voice over the park, his nickname was "The Voice of Disneyland".

  • Besides being the "Voice of Disneyland", Jack Wagner also did some voice work for the Walt Disney World Resort. His voice can still be heard on the Walt Disney World Monorail System: "Please stand clear of the doors; por favor manténganse alejado de las puertas."
  • Wagner provided the voices of Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and many of the other Disney characters in various Disney theme park parades and shows in the 1980s.
  • Wagner's voice can still be heard on the terminal trams at the Orlando International Airport, welcoming travelers to the wonder that is central Florida.
  • Wagner was fluent in English, Spanish, and French, as well as other languages.
  • He recorded all his announcements and spiels from his recording studio he had built in his house.
  • Wagner's "Remain seated please..." Matterhorn line is so famous that it is heard in the nostalgic fireworks show, "Remember... Dreams Come True".
  • Wagner also provided the very famous announcement for the original Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade and Walt Disney World Main Street Electrical Parade. In a vocoded voice, you hear, "Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination, in thousands of sparkling lights, and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sounds. The Main Street Electrical Parade!" After the parade concludes, you hear one final announcement before the closing electric fanfare; "Disneyland's Main Street Electrical Parade!" This final announcement can also be heard in Disneyland's "Remember Dreams Come True" fireworks spectacular.
  • Wagner's "Remain seated please" line is heard at the beginning of the song "Tragic Kingdom" by No Doubt, and is spoken by Barbie in the film Toy Story 2.
