The Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) is an advanced Persian (Iranian) research center and graduate level degree granting institution. It was founded in 1991 in Zanjan, Iran.

The institute is considered to be one of the most productive research centers of the country. It offers advanced degrees (Masters and above) in Mathematics, Physics, Information Technology, and Chemistry. The director and founder of the institute is Prof. Yousef Sobouti.
