Herstappe is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. On January 1, 2006 Herstappe had a total population of 82. The total area is 1.35 km² which gives a population density of 61 inhabitants per km². It is the least populous municipality in Belgium. Only Saint-Josse-ten-Noode and Koekelberg have less territory. Herstappe is a municipality with linguistic facilities (French).
