Henri Michel

Henri Michel (born October 29, 1947 in Aix-en-Provence, Bouches-du-Rhône) is a former French footballer, who played as a midfielder and later went on to coach various national teams. In 2005, he helped Côte d'Ivoire qualify for their first-ever appearance in a world cup at the 2006 World Cup, he retired after the 2006 World Cup.
Previously, he managed the French national team, guiding it to a third-place finish in the 1986 World Cup. In 1994 he managed Cameroon; from 1995-2000, he managed Morocco; and from 2001-2002, Tunisia. He was fired from the Tunisia job after the 2002 African Cup of Nations, despite qualifying the team for the 2002 World Cup.
