Hello... I'm Johnny Cash

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Hello... I'm Johnny Cash" is a song by Alabama 3 which features on the Outlaw. The song details the band's love for, and major influence by Johnny Cash. The lyrics reference many of Cash's songs, such as A Boy Named Sue and Ring of Fire. The release of the song as a 2-track download and CD single with the B-Side "Minesweeping" coincided with Cash's posthumous popularity resurgeance after the release of the film Walk the Line.

The song has been performed as part of the band's live set, and is often turned into a party event, with the Larry Love challenging members of the crowd to do a better Cash impersonation than he can. The song is highly expected to be on the band's new acoustic album, expected to be released in 2007.
