Heartland Wrestling Association

The Heartland Wrestling Association is an independent professional wrestling promotion based in Cincinnati, Ohio that promotes its own shows. It also is affilated with a training facility that trains future professional wrestlers.
The HWA was started by Les Thatcher and is currently run by head trainer Cody Hawk. The HWA once served as the developmental territory for then World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. Though WWE pulled out of the HWA to cut their budget, HWA continues to have good links with the promotion. HWA is now a fully independent promotion was once featured in an episode of MTV's True Life ("True Life: I'm A Professional Wrestler").
HWA airs a weekly TV program "Adrenaline" in the Cincinnati market via its CW affiliate WKRC (CinCW), and nationally on the America One television network. "Adrenaline" can also be viewed online on YouTube (keyword: hwaonline) via a link on the HWA website (see below).
As of early-2007, HWA has produced three online pay-per-view events: "CyberClash" from the HWA Arena in Evendale, Ohio, on 3/17/06, "Road to Destiny" from the Dayton Gym Club in Dayton, Ohio on 6/10/06, and "CyberClash 2.0" from the HWA Arena in Evendale, Ohio on 3/10/07

- HWA Heavyweight Championship — "Buffalo Bad Boy" Brian Jennings- Defeats Jon Moxley on Tuesday January 2nd 2007 for the Championship in the HWA Arena.
- HWA Tag Team Championship — Tarek The Legend and Tack - Defeated Irish Airborne, Dave and Jake Crist after cashing in their #1 contendership at Cyber Clash 2.0 at the HWA Arena in Evendale, OH on March 10, 2007 just moments after the Irish Airborne defeated the Mavericks in a ladder match main event.
- HWA Television Championship — Ganger - Defeated Scotty Murray on December 19, 2006 in a match for the vacant championship that was previously held by "Buffalo Bad Boy" Brian Jennings. Jennings was forced to give the championship up after deciding to pursue the HWA Heavyweight Championship.
