Great Northwest Athletic Conference

The Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) is a college athletic conference which operates in the northwestern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division II.
The conference was formed when its ten members split from the Pacific West Conference.

Richard Hannan is the commissioner of the GNAC.
At the conclusion of the 2005-2006 season Humboldt State University left the GNAC entirely for the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

The GNAC ceased sponsoring football after the 2005 season.
The GNAC will Begin Sponsoring football in the fall of 2008. The GNAC will also grant Dixie State College of Utah and Humboldt State University partial GNAC membership to allow for all five division II football schools on the west coast to play in one conference.
