Gizmodgery is an album by Self released in 2000 by Spongebath Records. Although Self's previous release, Breakfast with Girls, met with mixed critical response and a poor commercial showing, this follow-up repeated the success of Self's first album, Subliminal Plastic Motives. The LP was recorded entirely with children's toy instruments and contains a cover of the Doobie Brothers' hit song "What a Fool Believes." The track "Trunk Fulla Amps" appears twice on the album, the second version with the expletives removed. The song references and samples a variety of rock artists, including Freddie Mercury/Queen, ELO, Glenn Danzig/Danzig, and Lenny Kravitz. Japanese import versions of the album contain the bonus track "Resurrect," and alternate artwork.
