Genting Group (MYX: 3182) is the trading name of Genting Berhad, established in 1964 by Malaysian entrepreneur Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong. The group's pioneer project is Genting Highlands Resort, the main attraction of the resort is its casino and theme park. It is one of the most popular tourist destination in Malaysia.

Genting Group trading as Genting Berhad is a publicly listed company on Bursa Malaysia. Genting group is made of the five listed companies. They are listed below. It employs over 36 000 globally and have 11 000 acres (44 km²) of prime resort land and 175 000 acres (708 km²) of land for plantation. The group combined market capitalisation is US $11 billion.

From its initial leisure and hospitality activities, the Genting Group has since expanded and diversified into other activities including plantations, properties, power generation, oil and gas, e-commerce and the development of information technology. One of its associated cruise line business, the Star Cruises, was disposed in 2007.

Genting Group and its consortium partners won the bid in obtaining the second casino license and building an integrated resort, named Resorts World at Sentosa, in Singapore.[1] The project requirements includes hotel, gaming, leisure and recreational facilities, shopping. Thus, to create an iconic major tourist attraction that will take advantage of the booming Asian tourism market.

With the retirement of Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, his son, Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay has taken over the responsibilities as Chairman, President and Chief Executive of Genting Group.
