Genoa Township was a township located about 15 miles south-east of Houston, Texas. It was annexed in about 1950 as Houston grew. Many businesses, organizations, and streets in the immediate area retain some form of the name.

Children in the Genoa Township neighborhood attend school in the Pasadena Independent School District. The township is zoned to Genoa Elementary School, Lomax Middle School, Elmer Bondy Intermediate School, and Pasadena Memorial High School.

Despite being located in Houston, it is not served by the Houston Independent School District.

The United States Postal Service operates the Genoa Post Office at 10935 Almeda Genoa Road, 77034-9998.
