Fredro Starr

Fredro Starr (born Fredro Scruggs on January 1 1970), also known as Fredro Scruggs or Never, is an American rapper, actor and a member of hardcore rap group Onyx. Starr was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York City, New York.

As a member of the hardcore rap group ONYX, Starr released six albums. As a sole artist he released two albums.
There has been a low-level beef between Onyx member Fredo Starr and 50 cent. According to the Rap News Network [1] 50 cent is stated to have started a confrontation with Fredo Starr at the 2003 Vibe Awards. In a 2003 interview Fredo Starr stated:
- “50 Cent basically started shit with me, started a scuffle, and a bodyguard broke us up. He's a punk. He's disrespectful to Jam Master Jay ever since he passed. Fuck him. I'm doin shit with some ex G-Unit members now. 50 ain’t shit".
Furthermore in a source magazine interview, Fredo Starr stated that 50 cent had been disrespectful towards the Onyx rap group even though Onyx had given him his first breakthrough.
Starr also performed on the Sunset Park,Light It Up, and Save The Last Dance movie soundtracks.
The popular rapper made his acting debut in 1993 in Forest Whitaker's award-winning HBO drama "Strapped". Starr earned a Cable ACE nomination as Best Supporting Actor for this role. His feature film credits include 1995 Clockers,1996 Sunset Park,1998 Ride, 1999 Light It Up, and 2001 Save The Last Dance.
On television, Starr was featured in a recurring role on "Moesha", portraying the title character's boyfriend/fiancé. In HBO's "The Wire", Starr guest starred as the gangster Bird He has also guest-starred on "NYPD Blue", "Law & Order", "Blade: The Series" and "Promised Land."
Fredro Starr also co-hosted the short lived Dance 360. It was Paramount Domestic Television's daily half-hour urban dance competition show. It aired for 1 season from August 30, 2004, but was subsequently cancelled due to poor ratings.
Starr is said to portray Tupac Shakur in the upcoming movie Notorious starring Guerilla Black and Jamie Foxx[citation needed].

- The 1995 album All We Got Iz Us.
- The 1998 album Shut 'Em Down. This album featured a then-unknown 50 Cent.
After Shut 'Em Down, Onyx split from their label Def Jam and temporarily split up for solo releases. They reunited in 2002 with Bacdafucup Part II released on Koch Records, then followed in 2003 with Triggernometry released on D3 Entertainment.
In the summer of 2006 Fredro released a project known as Yung Onyx.
A new Onyx album, titled The Black Rock, was rumored for a 2006 release but did not surface.
