Faradian Islam
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Faradian Islam is an African American social and religious movement based on the teachings of W.D. Fard, Elijah Muhammad, the Nation of Islam, and the Nation of Gods and Earths. The term comes from the pronunciation of Fard which is fuh-RAHD. From the point of view of traditional Islam, Faradian Islam is not a true form of Islam. Instead, it is a made-up religion into which Islamic elements have been incorporated.
