False Cape Horn or Falso Cabo de Hornos is a headland at the south end of Hoste Island, 35 statute miles (56 km) northwest of Cape Horn, located at 55°43′37″S, 68°03′16″W. False Cape Horn is the southernmost point of the large islands of the Tierra del Fuego group, located close to the mainland of South America.

False Cape Horn is so called because in the days of sail it was quite often mistaken for Cape Horn. Sailors approaching from the west along the clipper route would see it in a similar configuration to the real Cape Horn; if they then proceeded east, thinking that they had rounded the Horn, they would run into the Wollaston Islands. This mistake caused several shipwrecks.[1]

Administratively, False Cape Horn is part of the province of Magallanes y la Antártica Chilena, Chile.
