Tottenham Hotspur versus Sheffield United. Played at Crystal Palace

Over 110,000 supporters turned up to see the two sides clash in a match in which Spurs were overwhelming favourites, but Priest opened the scoring for Sheffield United after about 20 minutes.Brown headed an equalizing goal shortly afterwards and half time arrived with the score 1-1. Brown put the Spurs ahead early in the second half, but not to be denied Sheffield pressed strongly, and Bennett headed an equalizer.

Result - Tottenham Hotspur 2 goals Sheffield United 2 goals.

In the replay, Spurs became the first, and only non-league side to win the FA Cup when they beat Sheffield United 3-1 before an attendance of 20,470. Centre forward Alex `Sandy` Brown became the first player to score in every round and he netted both goals in the final as well as one in the replay for a total of 15 in the season`s competition.
