Eric Matthew Stefani (born June 17, 1967) is an American pop musician, former Simpsons animator, and Grammy-nominated composer and writer.

Eric is known as a co-creator of the group No Doubt with his younger sister Gwen. His first public musical performance was with a band Applecorpe. The two siblings performed at a Loara High School talent show covering 2 Tone songs with Eric on accordion and Gwen singing.

A few years later, they met other musicians and formed No Doubt, performing live shows at Fenders Ballroom in Long Beach. The group started writing original material, much of which Eric contributed. Though Eric left before the band's breakthrough album Tragic Kingdom was released, he and Gwen were nominated at the 1998 Grammy Awards for Song of the Year.^[1]

Eric found time between Cypress College and the band to get brief encounters working as an layout animator for cartoon Director John Kricfalusi thru Lynne Naylor including Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures, Beany and Cecil and Troop Beverly Hills title sequence.) Those jobs lead Eric work at The Bob Clampett Studio with Ruth Clampett, where he got to trace 35mm film enlargements of original Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig animation frames to help create sericels for Bob Clampett. After that job Ruth told Eric there was a new project upstairs and he should take a look, The Simpsons.

Eric toggled between television animation and music for several years (eight years on The Simpsons).

Eric Stefani is currently working on a short film titled "Frisbee"(2007), reprinting a self-published children's books The Ants and the Plants (2004), Laughin' Larry (2005) and writing music book notations from his own albums. His most recent effort is "Let's Ride Horses" (2007).
