Epping Town F.C. was a football club based in England. They joined the Metropolitan League in 1969. In 1971, they won the title and in the 1976-77 season, they reached the 5th round of the FA Vase. In the 1979-80 season the incumbent managament including Tom Fearey and several of the playing staff left the club after a dispute regarding expenses. At this point the Reserve Team Manager, Ian Salisbury who had previously held posts at Southend, Crystal Palace and West Ham United as a youth team coach took over. The 1st game saw a highly competitive home draw against Hemel Hempstead. For the rest of the season the team battled on with a very young playing side and managed to avoid re election to the league. However, the board saw fit not to offer the post to Salisbury on a permanent basis, and his place was taken by Les Reid who was later to become the temporary manager of Charlton Athletic F.C. However, in the 1984-85 season, they resigned from the Isthmian League Division Two and their records were expunged.
