Eleanor of Woodstock (8 June 131822 April 1355) was the eldest daughter of Edward II. She was born in Woodstock Palace, Oxfordshire.

Eleanor's name is sometimes written 'Alinor'.

At age 14, in 1332, she married Reinoud II, Count of Guelders, at Nijmegen, Guelders, Netherlands.[1] Upon her marriage she became Countess of Guelders and Zutphen.

Reinoud (?1286-1343) was the son of Reinoud I, Count of Guelders, and Margareta de Dampierre. He was also the cousin of Count Louis of Flanders who was married to Margaret, the second daughter of the French king Philip V.

The couple had two children:

  • Reinoud (1334-1371), who became Reynold III von Geldern, Count of Gueldres on his father's death
  • Edward (1336-1371), who became Edward, Count of Guelders on his brother's death

Eleanor died on April 22, 1355, aged 36, in Deventer, Overijssel, Netherlands, and is buried in Deventer Cathedral.
