Egglescliffe

Egglescliffe is a village and civil parish which for ceremonial purposes is in County Durham, England. Administratively it is located in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, a unitary authority. It was formerly part of the non-metropolitan county of Cleveland, created by the Local Government Act 1972 and abolished in 1996. It is situated immediately to the south of Eaglescliffe, on the other side of the River Tees from Yarm.
The parish church is dedicated to St John the Baptist. Also in the village is A primary school, small public play park, farms, allotments and public house.
